Hey there, it’s Jacob at Retention.Blog 👋
I got tired of reading high-level strategy articles, so I started writing actionable advice I would want to read.
Every week I share practical learnings you can apply to your business.
Lifecycle Marketing and Price Localization Guidance
This week we’ve got something different!
I flew to San Francisco and presented at RevenueCat’s App Growth Annual and App Promotion Summit SF this week.
It was a lot of fun. Shout out to everyone new I met, to everyone I’d only talked to online, and to friends I got to see again in person.
Most of my days are spent staring at a computer screen with only me, myself, and I.
I do love working from home, but it means I appreciate the time I get to meet up with people in person even more.
Enjoy.
Presentation #1: Lifecycle Marketing Tips
This is a series of quick hits you can implement and test today for your lifecycle marketing.
I presented this at App Promotion Summit SF:

APS is put on by some great people and they have conferences all over the world. Make some time to go if it comes to a city near you!
Presentation #2: Global Pricing Guidance
I gave this presentation as a workshop at RevenueCat’s App Growth Annual.
The majority of app publishers aren’t large enough to do in-depth research on every market around the world to figure out how they should localize prices.
I did research on a bunch of apps and found their prices for a lot of different countries.
This presentation takes you on my research journey.
This won’t give you all the answers, but hopefully, it gives you a starting point for testing and optimizing prices in other markets.
This presentation has some slides that make more sense when I talk through them. If anything doesn’t make sense, add a comment or just reply to this email and I’ll try to clarify.

I’m pretty sure if you want to download these resources below, you’ll like everything else I write.
Two other resources I used to create this presentation:
All the price points for the top 25 grossing Health and Fitness apps for 15 countries
All the price points for the top 24 grossing Education apps for 15 countries
Honestly, pretty crazy that I’m giving away all of this for free. But whatever, I like you all.
I’m going to pull all the prices for the top 25 apps for another category soon. Which category should I do next?
If you want another category that’s not listed here, reply with a comment. Since you took the time to type a response, it’ll count for two votes :)
